A Quick Introduction to Homeopathy and Heilkunst
Heilkunst is the complete system of therapeutics developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann 200 years ago and furthered in our time by the Hahnemann Center for Heilkunst. It means “the art of remediation,” and includes the systematic removal of the blockages to our life force – blockages which are the roots of our illnesses.
Homeopathy is one small part of this elegant system. Heilkunst also includes the correction of various imbalances, using diet, nutrition, and many other methods from the natural health field.
Conventional medicine concerns itself with symptoms and tries to eliminate them without addressing the real causes. That allows the underlying causes to continue their course, while creating iatrogenic (doctor-caused) disease in the process. Heilkunst works on a deeper level to remove the actual causes, without harm. Then the symptoms and conditions clear up as their causes disappear.
We heal only according to laws of nature. When the proper treatment is given to clear a particular disturbance, according to natural law, then your own inner healing power can complete the rest of the process. After that, people usually experience a greater sense of vitality in various ways.
To begin Heilkunst treatment, the practitioner will ask you to provide a chronological history of the emotional and physical traumas you’ve experienced throughout your lifetime. It’s not necessary to share the details of what happened, but just the events and how you felt about them. The treatment targets these traumas and removes them sequentially, according to precise principles.
We use remedies that are commonly known as “homeopathic,” which have undergone extensive clinical testing and are published in compendiums called materia medicas or pharmacopoeias. They are safe and can effectively reach to the deeper energetic level where the traumas are lodged.
Other aspects of treatment also help to strengthen your resistance to disease, shore up your life force, and provide some relief from symptoms in the meantime while the deeper issues are being addressed.
Through your interaction with your Heilkunst practitioner, you’ll learn to navigate and understand the course of your personal development. No matter what your health challenges are, Heilkunst treatment can remove the disturbances that block your full potential, to restore you to wholeness, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
The benefits of Heilkunst treatment can include:
* Relief from both chronic and acute illness
* Improved energy
* Improved immunity and ability to resist disease
* Improved sleep
* Improved relationships with yourself and others physically, mentally and emotionally
* Improved outlook on life and the world around you
* Improved ability to manage emotions and conflicts
* Decrease in stress and anxiety
* Increased sense of inner strength and wellbeing
* Increased sense of connection with your creative energy and your life’s deeper purpose and direction

Homeopathic Vaccines Work; Conventional Vaccines Weaken the Immune System
Preventive treatment for infectious disease has been done effectively for over 200 years using homeopathy. The remedy can be given in various forms, usually pellets on a sugar base, that you simply allow to dissolve in the mouth.
This type of vaccine is available for every infectious disease, including influenza. It provides a very tiny dose of the disease agent – in that way it’s similar to an allopathic vaccine, but that’s where the comparison stops.
The homeopathic vaccine is completely safe, because the amount of the virus material is actually less than one molecule. It acts more on the subtle energy level than the material level, so it doesn’t cause any adverse effects as allopathic vaccines do. And it strengthens the immune system as we expect from a vaccine.
By contrast, allopathic vaccines actually weaken the immune system.
Conventional vaccines overstimulate the humoral immune system, which weakens the cellular immunity, and it’s the cellular immunity that is responsible for recognizing foreign substances.
When cellular immunity is suppressed, the body doesn’t know the difference between something foreign and its own tissue, and begins attacking its own tissue – that’s how autoimmune disease develops.
The allopathic vaccine does lessen the acute manifestation of the illness, so the symptoms you get are milder. What’s wrong with that? Well, getting milder symptoms because you’re actually weaker and less able to throw off the disease, is not a good thing.
The vaccine suppresses symptoms so you may not feel as sick in the short run, and be on the road to developing autoimmune disease. Not a choice most people will want to make for themselves or their kids, if they knew the facts.
So, either take allopathic vaccines and risk autoimmune disease and other devastating health effects, with no real benefit.
OR – use homeopathic vaccines, and strengthen immunity safely.

What is Heilkunst?
A Short Introduction
Heilkunst is the complete system of medicine developed by the German medical doctor Samuel Hahnemann in the first half of the 19th century, and furthered with recent research. It means “the art of remediation,” and includes both the curing of disease and supporting the body’s innate capacity to restore balance. Its highest aim is to remove the blockages that prevent you from reaching your full potential on all levels of your being - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
Heilkunst treatment works at the causative level to remove the roots of the disturbances that are affecting your health, not simply to suppress the outer symptoms. The practitioner can identify this deeper level of causation in each individual and provide the remedies that can reach there, while supporting the patient’s healing at every step of the way.
Homeopathy is just one small part of the complete Heilkunst system. And Heilkunst is not just another approach to add to the multitude of healing methods, but a map of the whole territory. Based on principles of nature that can be invoked in reproducible ways, Heilkunst is a truly scientific medical system.
Symptoms are not the disease
Conventional medicine, and even natural medicine to a large degree, is based on a material view of disease, which focuses on the symptoms and not their real causes. Many people think the best they can expect is to manage their symptoms as well as possible.
Because the conventional model sees the symptom as the problem itself, it uses suppressive treatments which drive the problem deeper into the system. The original symptom may be relieved, but the real roots of the disease are now even more deeply entrenched, to manifest again later.
Heilkunst understands that the disease symptom is a manifestation of a specific energy disturbance. Treatment reaches to the origin of the disturbance, which is on a deeper level than symptoms. It removes the underlying disease, and then the symptoms will naturally resolve.
Regimen and Medicine
We each have a life force which is dynamic - not material or chemical - and this life force has two sides. One side is the wisdom of the body that balances, supports and heals. All the natural healing methods work on this side - nutrition, herbs, acupuncture. This is the realm of treatment we call regimen.
But this healing is only half the equation. The other side of the life force is where the disturbances which we call disease are lodged. Disease is rather like a pregnancy - no amount of nutrition, herbs, exercise, acupuncture or energy healing can change that! Curing disease is the realm of treatment called medicine.
Disease can only be cured by using the correct medicines (remedies), chosen by the Heilkunst practitioner according to the curative law of nature, and at the proper time and in the proper dose for the patient.
Heilkunst Treatment
When you begin treatment with a Heilkunst practitioner, you are asked to provide a list of all the traumatic events that occurred in your life, from birth to the present time. We call this the traumatic timeline.
Natural law allows for the cure of these disturbances in the reverse order, so you’ll be treated for the most recent one first, going backward in time. Your life energy that was blocked due to that trauma will be reintegrated into yourself. There’s no need to re-live the past, but only to remove the blockages that prevent you from moving forward in an unencumbered way, and to allow for the adjustment to a healthier state.
You’ll also be treated for any acute problems you might be currently having. You’ll be counseled in regimen (diet, nutrition, sleep, water intake, exercise, and other lifestyle issues), to support the healing process. You’ll receive therapeutic education, to help you to understand your responses to treatment and to help you develop the soul/spiritual aspect of your health.
So this task of full remediation is not simply to take away ills and have people go back to their lives unchanged. It can be a deeply transformative process, which requires our deepening understanding of who we are and our life’s purpose. It requires guidance beyond simply taking remedies, and the Heilkunst practitioner has the skill and depth of understanding to provide that, in a completely individual way for each patient.
The Healing Reaction
Soon after taking a deep-acting remedy, many patients will begin to feel better in some way. Then about 10-14 days after taking a remedy, some may experience a slight, temporary worsening of symptoms or discomfort. This is the healing reaction, the body’s own inner healing power working to eliminate waste, rebuild tissue or whatever is necessary to restore balance after the curative remedy has done its job.
Regimen - particular foods, supplements, etc., whatever is needed - is used to help support this important function so you move through this phase with a minimum of discomfort. Most people will experience a greater sense of health after the healing reaction has completed.
You can refer to the additional article, The Healing Reaction, to help understand the real benefit of the healing reaction.
Nuts and Bolts
To a large degree, the remedies used in Heilkunst treatment are natural substances that are highly diluted and energized in a very specific way so as to bring out their therapeutic action and eliminate the possibility of iatrogenic (medicine caused) effects. These are commonly known as “homeopathic” remedies. They have undergone extensive clinical testing, published in compendiums called materia medicas or pharmacopoeias.
Dr. Hahnemann’s life-long research proved the remedies safe and effective, when used properly, and they continue to prove safe and effective throughout the 250 years since. The particular remedies that you need, in the sequence, dose and potency that you need them, are all determined by the Heilkunst practitioner.
Some remedies are given in liquid form in dropper bottles, to take one drop at a time, and other remedies are given in a powder form.
Patients may continue using any doctor-prescribed drugs without interfering with the Heilkunst treatment. By the same token, Heilkunst treatment itself doesn’t interfere with any other treatment that patients may choose to undergo, although with Heilkunst treatment many other treatments may become unnecessary, depending on the particular case and the patient’s preference.
If you don’t live near a Heilkunst practitioner, phone consults can be done very easily, and the remedies sent by mail. Treatment is no less effective this way, and is always completely individualized.

The Meaning of Symptoms: An Intro to the Dynamic System
Talking about symptoms, conditions, diseases and illnesses with loads of people over the years, I’ve noticed that there’s a lot of confusion about what symptoms mean.
Even the medical field labels something a disease, which is really just a group of symptoms. And symptoms are effects, outer appearances, not causes. Without clear distinctions to help us understand the real nature of what we’re dealing with, we can’t intelligently address what’s going on according to real causes.
I’ll start by addressing the issue of the wisdom of the body and the idea we have in the natural health field of working with the body, not against it. It’s an idea that’s been greatly misunderstood, and the misunderstanding centers around the debate between the “vitalist” school (which wants to support the life force), and the allopathic school which mistrusts it and wants to control it and suppress symptoms.
In the natural health field, it’s assumed that the vitalist tradition is the wiser, and efforts are aimed at supporting the life force in various ways. But this is a simplistic assumption which doesn’t take into account the dual nature of this life force. In order to understand the meaning of symptoms, we have to understand the nature of the life force that produces them.
To put this in perspective, let me outline the two major schools of medicine in the west (with the eastern schools being closely aligned with the vitalist tradition).
1. The Hippocratic school observed nature and sought to support the the natural healing power of the organism. This stream is the basis for much of modern “natural medicine” with its focus on the vital force, and has come to be known as the vitalist tradition. So natural medicine is oriented toward balancing and facilitating this natural healing power.
2. The school of Asklepiades, on the other hand, mistrusted the organism’s innate healing power, and sought to oppose its seemingly misguided efforts by using heroic measures according to the law of opposites to remove the disease effects. This is much like modern day allopathic medicine giving drugs to counteract the effects of disease without basing the prescription on any principle of nature.
So we have a kind of duality here, between trusting the natural healing power, vs. mistrusting it.
There’s a third way, though, that has been developed in recent years, although it emerged out of the Romantic period of history with Dr. Hahnemann being the primary medical researcher. The Dynamic system transcends this duality, and doesn’t simply support the natural healing power, nor does it suppress it.
The Dynamic System
The Dynamic system sees the effects of the natural healing power as simply symptoms, and seeks to know exactly the real underlying cause of those symptoms. Dr. Hahnemann was the first in the medical field to begin to understand the dual nature of this natural healing power. The vitalists were treating it as one abstract thing, whereas it really had a dual function.
1. It would sustain, maintain, balance, promote homeostasis, on the one hand. This came to be called the “sustentive power” or sustentive aspect of the life force.
When the sustentive power is disturbed, the person is indisposed or imbalanced. There, the sustentive side of the natural healing power simply needs to be supported with nutrition and various regimenal techniques, sometimes energy balancing, but the therapeutic measures here are quantitative. You’re just shoring up the life force or removing excesses.
2. On the other hand, the life force also has a creative capacity to generate new thought and new life - the “generative power.” These two functions are distinctly different, and lead to the understanding that there is a qualitatively different way in which a person can be ill.
When the generative power is disturbed, this is an actual qualitative change in the organism, an impingement on the generative side of the life force, which no amount of “trusting” the wisdom of the body, supporting it, boosting it, is going to remedy. It’s like a pregnancy - no amount of nutrition or energy balancing is going to change it.
The symptoms are the body’s wise response to the disturbance, but in this case, it’s like those toy wind-up cars that hit a wall and just keep spinning their wheels. If we fuel that car more by boosting the sustentive power, we just make the wheels spin faster and actually can exacerbate symptoms in a way that doesn’t get us anywhere.
So the key is in a deeper understanding of this duality of the life force, which shows us when the situation calls for simply supporting the sustentive life force, and when we also need to intervene on the generative side, in a way that helps remove the blockage so that the healing can proceed.
In the Dynamic system, we have dynamized remedies (commonly known as homeopathic), which target the blockage and annihilate it according to the law of similars, in a systematic way.
But the vitalist philosophy has a sentimental notion that we shouldn’t fight against this wisdom of the body. And we’re actaully not — we’re removing the blockage that doesn’t belong, based on real principles of nature, not just blindly getting rid of symptoms as the allopaths do.
This is done with a deep understanding of the curative principle of nature - the law of similars, and knowledge of how to apply it safely, in the right dose, and at the right time.
After this is done, then the natural healing power of the body can proceed with the healing - all the adjustments and repairs that need to be made, like a house renovation, and we can support its efforts with various regimenal methods.
The reason the rules keep changing in allopathic medicine is because it’s an abstract philosophy that has no grounding in principles of natural law. It just seeks to suppress symptoms–the outer appearances–and not venturing to look at the real causes, no matter how powerful their microscropes or nanotechnology becomes.
In the vitalist natural healing tradition, there is a consistent sort of loyalty to the wisdom of the body, but we see that there isn’t a high success rate with complex, chronic conditions. Much of the allopathic mindset has been coopted, and there isn’t a tremendous difference - getting rid of symptoms becomes the measure of success in both.
Whereas the dynamic system seeks to remove the underlying disturbance, and then the wisdom of the body mounts a healing reaction to that, and symptoms can actually increase during that time.
A New Understanding of Symptoms
If we look at all symptoms as unwanted, we suppress the healing reaction and can never make real progress. If on the other hand, we see all symptoms as healing reactions to be supported, we also can’t make real progress! - except in very simple cases of imbalance.
The key to understanding why lies in the duality of the life force - when we’re addressing only one side of the polarity, we’re ignoring the whole realm where the disease impingements lie. The vitalist tradition and most of the natural health field has missed this whole dimension of medicine. When you start to discover it, it’s like discovering a whole wing of your house that you never knew was there before, and which puts everything in perspective.
