A Guide for Self-Healing Newsletter January 2006

Hi folks,

This month’s installment will be a collection of quick tips, with no real connecting theme other than usefulness!

——>> INTU-FLOW, a new approach to exercise

This is something new from coach Scott Sonnon, looks like the best integrated exercise program I’ve ever seen. It
helps you restore your body’s natural flow of movement, rather than conventional exercise routines that often have
you forcing things to gain strength, while inadvertently creating other tensions and stresses at the same time. The
Intu-Flow program includes 3 DVD’s, a few special weights called clubbells.

It looks fascinating and actually entertaining!

* Yoga without unnecessary contortion.
* Tai Chi without tedious complication.
* Meditation without fatigue and boredom.
* Exercise without limits.

“Can you remember what it was like to want to climb trees and roll around in the grass? Can you believe for a moment
that the only obstacle between you and this kind of joyful freedom is the years of stress and tension accumulating
over time in your mind and body resulting in chronic pain, fatigue, illness and emotional instability. The methods
found in Intu-Flowâ„¢ effectively lead to the elimination of pain and related emotional disturbances.”

——>> CLEAR NASAL CONGESTION without suppressive drugs

Okay, I know this is not the most popular subject, but bear with me.. I’m sure almost everyone *would* be interested in
a really effective remedy for this! — Nasal irrigation.

I had some cold symptoms recently, so I was more motivated than usual to try doing some nasal irrigation, something I
knew was terrific but was a bit skittish to actually try. When you’re miserable from congestion and can’t sleep, and
all the usual herbal remedies don’t work well enough, you can get past skittish pretty fast!

Essentially, the process involves putting salt water into one nostril and having it flow out the other. Once you get
the hang of it, it’s really very easy and not uncomfortable at all. Most of us have had the unpleasant experience of
inadvertently inhaling ocean water, but the normal saline that you use for nasal irrigation is less salty and exactly
the same salinity as the body’s fluids, so it doesn’t burn.

And although you’re only putting the water into the nasal passage, it stimulates the sinuses to clear out as well, so
this is wonderful for all sorts of upper respiratory infections.

I found that it gave me immediate relief but then the congestion came back, so I had to keep doing the irrigation
a few times a day for a few days. It was worth it.

There are a few different ways to do the irrigation –

  • The traditional Ayurvedic neti pot,
    www.jalanetipot.com
  • Hydro Pulse, a machine like a water pik that provides a pulsating flow

  • Just a simple syringe filled with the proper salt solution.

I really didn’t like the idea at all, at first, so believe me, it’s not just some advanced yoga practice, and anyone including kids can do it! It really helps. Just be sure to read instructions carefully, use purified water and the right amount of non-iodized salt.

——>> MAIL ORDER SOURCES of wholesome nutrient-dense foods

I just added a new Resources page to my website:
http://www.guideforselfhealing.com/?page_id=8

Not everyone can get grass-fed meats and raw dairy products locally, so do consider mail ordering from these trusted
sources. Also, the raw honey from Todd Hardie up in Vermont, at Honey Gardens Apiaries, is amazing!

——>> “TOWERBUSTERS” clear negative energy

Check out Dennis Griffin’s new site, www.towerbusters.com.
These orgone generators clear the environment of negative energy, and are great to put around the house on all sources of electromagnetic fields like TV’s and computers.

There are many other good vendors of orgone generators (orgonite), so check them out too, on my Links page,

——>> MUSIC FOR MOTIVATION

One reason why we all love music is because it’s powerful, moving. Here’s a quick and fun way to use music to motivate
you to do whatever it is you need to do.

Right now, think about a song that motivates you particularly, that has a bright and upbeat energy which
will help you work or do whatever you need to be doing.
Think of it, hum it or whistle it briefly.

Then make a list of ten songs that motivate you. That’s it!

Then if you want to, you can make a “success playlist” for yourself, or sing, hum and whistle any of your favorites
any time to give you an instant boost.

That’s all for now,
Warm winter wishes,

Karen
